Me & Mocha :)
Me & Mocha :)

Hi everyone,

Wow! It's been more than a couple of weeks since my last blog post. I haven't been lazy, but I have been busy. Writing my blogs has not been a priority lately, but I do miss writing and I hope to stay more consistent. As you know, if you've been reading my previous blog posts, I have ADHD. It is difficult for me to stay with a hobby or a task for an extended amount of time. It feels like I rotate through my hobbies sometime unless I treat it like a job. For me going to the gym is fun but if I don't schedule it in my planner, I won't go. If I don't set aside time to do my hobbies, I won't always do them. For me, in my brain, I prioritize certain things and I can only hope that those priorities are written down in my planner.

Anyways, let me catch you up on my past two weeks! This month is not my birth month, but it is my sister and my husband's birthday month. Celebrations have been and are to be in order. This year is another year that I'm living away from family, and I am facing the reality that it may continue to be this way indefinitely. Misunderstandings occur more often when people are far apart and have to communicate virtually or through the phone. My family and I have catch ups online every month, and this month, we had a birthday chat to celebrate my sister. However, due to miscommunication, everyone made it to the Google meet except the birthday girl. Although it was great to catch up with family, I know my sister would have loved to be there. Yes, we're rescheduling the birthday chat, but I hope we continue to make her feel special and loved for the rest of this year until her next birthday. I hope she feels the love. I also said it's my husband's birthday this month. This weekend, we're celebrating with his family here in Korea, and I'm definitely going to make sure he feels celebrated. This month is also the month where we saw more trees blossom and bloom. What a beautiful month to celebrate the start of life, one of the reasons why my name is April. I've seen cherry blossoms bloom, plum blossoms bloom, magnolias bloom, and more trees that I don't remember that names of bloom. Despite having a few rainy days this month, there hasn't been a moment when I haven't seen a flower on a tree. I'm thankful for living in a country where many streams and walkways have beautiful trees. I'm also thankful that they bloom at different times of the season. I've caught up with friends from back home and new friends from Korea over the past weeks, as well. I love exploring new places with them, trying new foods, and learning something new about them. I also like reminiscing about the past and talking about future plans.

This month, I also did a lot for the school, but I won't go into that. All I have to say is that work is going well; it is just busy. I have a lot to do to prepare for the end of the school year, and I had a lot to do to prepare for other things that occurred this semester. Yes, I was busy, but I enjoy it!

Until next time,

April

Here are some highlights from this past month!
